Microsoft Service Incident - EX1072812 Users may receive an error stating "Something went wrong. [4usqa]" or "AADSTS500014: The service principal for resource '[Resource ID]' is disabled." when attempting to access the Outlook desktop client and mobile app Root cause: A recent service update is blocking access to the Outlook desktop and mobile clients for some users that have the Information Protection app’s service principal disabled. Update: Microsoft identified that a recent service update is blocking access to the Outlook desktop and mobile apps for some users that have the Microsoft Purview Information Protection app’s service principal disabled. Microsoft is reverting this service update in an internal test environment to confirm this resolves the issue without causing additional problems for the service. Users can enable the Information Protection app's service principal in Microsoft Azure to allow users to access the Outlook desktop client and mobile apps, but the app may be automatically disabled and cause the impact to reoccur.

Update:
Microsoft reverted the service update in their internal testing environment and confirmed that it resolves the issue without any adverse effects. Microsoft is reverting the impacting update in the affected environment to address the impact, which they anticipate this process to complete and for the fix to reach desirable saturation levels by their next scheduled update.
