Pylon Outage History

Pylon experienced an issue where messages sent from their platform failed to sync to Microsoft Teams Shared channels, while Standard Teams channels continued working normally. The root cause was identified as an unannounced breaking change by Microsoft to bot permissions that prevented messages from being sent to Shared and Private Teams channels. After over 2 months of attempting to resolve the issue with Microsoft, Pylon developed an alternative workaround using service accounts that requires additional configuration from users to enable message syncing to Shared channels.
