The database failover was unsuccessful. We have determined that a site switch is required for quickest resolution and are starting the site switch now. During this time the Salesforce service will be unavailable to customers.

The Salesforce Technology team is still in the process of performing a database failover which is the current mitigation step. Additional teams are being engaged should the failover be unsuccessful and alternative paths to resolution are required.

At 04:40 UTC, on November 3, 2024, customers on instance CS308 began experiencing a re-occurrence of service disruption. As this issue has resurfaced the Salesforce Technology team has determined that a database failover is the best potential solution to reinstate service health. Switching from the primary to the secondary database will result in a temporary period of service disruption, and during this, customers will be unable to access or use Salesforce services. We expect this process to take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete
