We are investigating an issue with our Lisbon I, Madrid III, Madrid IV datacenter. We are investigating intermittent connection timeouts. For more information, please check our FAQ. If you need further assistance, contact Zscaler Support with reference to this incident. Status changes will be updated here when available.Update - Mon, 28 Apr 2025 16:54:51 UTCWe’d like to provide an update regarding the current connectivity issues observed in the impacted region. While our data centers remain operational with uninterrupted power, we’ve identified degradation in network conditions due to disruptions affecting several regional network providers. This has led to reduced availability of content and impacted non-Zscaler applications relying on services hosted in the region. Additionally, we’ve observed certain network routes, particularly to Northern Africa, being intermittently affected. Our teams are actively collaborating with multiple providers in the region to gather updates as they work on both service restoration and rerouting efforts to mitigate the impact. We are closely monitoring the situation and will share new details either on an hourly basis or promptly if there are material changes. Ensuring consistent service delivery and transparency remain our priorities during this time. Thank you for your patience, and we will continue to keep you informed.Update - Mon, 28 Apr 2025 18:03:24 UTCOur regional data centers remain stable, with fuel levels under active monitoring and vendor support in place to ensure a continuous supply. Additionally, the local power authority has identified a potential cause of the disruption as "induced atmospheric vibration," caused by extreme temperature fluctuations in Spain. These vibrations affected high-voltage power lines, leading to synchronization failures and subsequent cascading disturbances across the interconnected European power network, which have contributed to the ongoing connectivity challenges. We are closely monitoring the situation and will provide updates if there are any significant developments or changes. Thank you for your continued trust and understanding.Update - Mon, 28 Apr 2025 19:57:39 UTCZscaler data centers remain fully operational without any interruptions, though local power infrastructure is still impacted. According to updates from the Spanish Power Operator, approximately 1/5 of the failed capacity was restored 1.5 hours ago. Additionally, the Spanish Civil Guard is assisting with the distribution of fuel trucks to support critical infrastructure while power restoration efforts continue. Our vendors are actively monitoring the situation, including environmental conditions and fuel levels, to ensure continued stability. We will provide further updates as the situation evolves.
