The incident has been resolved, returning search indexing back to full functionality for all impacted features:

Search, Filtering, Workflow, Imports, Import Integrations, and Catalog Site Search

If you are experiencing search issues for recently published Sites, you can fix this immediately by re-publishing the Site. Otherwise, our historical indexing processes will resolve this tomorrow, August 23rd.

Our search indexing systems have completed processing the backlog of indexed events. Downstream events such as Imports, Workflows and Webhooks that are tied to the completion of Imports will trigger as this backlog is processed.

We have implemented corrective actions to bring our search indexing back to a stable state. Our current ETA for completing the backlog of indexing events is set for 6:30pm ET.

Between now and our ETA, your search indexes will continue to process and reflect the most recent updates from the various impacted functions listed below:
Search, Filtering, Workflow, Imports, Import Integrations, and Catalog Site Search

Currently, the search indexing delays are degrading the experience for:

Our Engineering team identified a related issue that caused some Catalog Sites publications to fail and others to be delayed. The issue has now been resolved. If you had any failed publications, we would suggest re-running these, or waiting for the next scheduled run if these are automated.

Catalog Sites search and filtering availability will lag site publication until the broader search indexing performance degradation is resolved.

While our Engineering team continues working to resolve the underlying issue with our indexing service, the changes applied so far have improved its state overall. Our current projection is that in the next 6 hours the application will be processing mostly as expected. Until then, changes to the product data should be immediately visible on the Products Page, however, searches and filters may not return the most up-to-date information.
