Visa authorizations delay

Fidel API is experiencing delays in receiving Visa authorization transactions.

Impact:

• Abnormal delay in the reception of Visa auths and consequent delivery to Fidel API customers.
• The delivery of Visa auths affects all Visa cardholders, independently of the region.

Details:

• On 23 August, we identified that Visa authorization transactions were being delayed.
• Initial investigations indicate that the delay is isolated to Visa authorizations.
• The root cause was identified as an upstream issue within Visa's transaction processing pipeline, affecting the delivery of authorization data to FidelAPI.

Actions Taken:

• Escalation of the issue to Visa to identify and resolve the root cause.
• Continuous monitoring of the data flow from Visa to identify and mitigate further delays.
