Mailprotector Outage History

Mailprotector's CloudFilter and SafeSend Email Security services experienced intermittent failures when sending emails from Google Workspace accounts, along with delays in inbound email delivery due to an issue on Google's side. The incident affected email routing for Google Workspace users and lasted 4.9 hours. The issue was resolved after Google addressed their underlying problem.

Mailprotector deployed an update at 2:00 PM ET to improve brand impersonation protection, but it aggressively held outgoing messages and incorrectly sent legitimate inbound emails to Junk folders, particularly affecting emails with social media links in signatures. The update was rolled back at 2:50 PM ET after 1.2 hours, with held outgoing emails automatically released and jailed inbound emails reprocessed, though some users needed to manually move emails out of their Junk folders.
