Nylas experienced a 3.3-hour service disruption where Notetaker instances in US and EU regions had delays joining meetings, with some instances failing to connect entirely due to extended join latency. The issue was caused by a temporary disruption with a Nylas subprocessor that impacted autoscaling behavior. The problem was resolved after the subprocessor implemented a fix and confirmed stability, with Nylas validating full recovery across their environment.

Nylas experienced timeouts affecting two Notetaker API endpoints (GET /v3/grants/:grant_id/notetakers and GET /v3/notetakers) for 22 minutes. The service deployed a fix and restored normal communication to the Notetaker endpoints.

Nylas Notetakers experienced failures when attempting to join Google Meet events due to recent changes in Google's production environment, while other meeting providers and API functionality remained unaffected. The issue was resolved after 11.4 hours through deployed remediations that addressed the Google changes. Notetaker join rates for Google Meet events returned to normal levels with confirmed stability across US and EU regions.

Nylas experienced elevated API error rates and increased latency in their US v3 production environment for 1.9 hours, causing intermittent 500 errors and delayed webhooks for a subset of customers. The engineering team identified the root cause and implemented mitigation steps that successfully restored normal API performance and latency levels. Additional preventative measures are being implemented to increase capacity and reduce the risk of similar issues during peak traffic periods.
