As you may know, maintenance conducted by Anthology (without notice to the Finalsite team) on January 20 caused emails sent using the Mass Communications system to be temporarily flagged as spam for certain email providers. This issue has since been resolved. Unfortunately, in such circumstances, it does take some time to repair the reputation of our servers. While we are no longer being blocked as “spam”, some providers are deferring delivery of email due to this reputation impact. These messages will be delivered, but with a delay. This can be as short as a few hours or as long as a couple of days, depending on the provider. We are unable to provide exact timing of the delay for each recipient, as this delay is at the discretion of the recipient's email provider. For a subset of our clients, they may experience slowness in response of the system. Our team is aware of this issue and working towards a resolution. While we understand that this is not a workaround or solution, we have found that waiting five minutes and retrying can provide an improved experience.

Provisioning of Blackboard Data for new clients in Singapore and Canada is currently on hold as we migrate the authentication process to a different region. All existing incomplete requests, and all new requests, for new Blackboard Data instances or new users, are on-hold and placed in a queue, and will be resumed once this work has been completed. We will post a status update once this is done. Following migration, all existing users will need to reset their passwords using the "forgot password" process on the Blackboard Data login form.

Our recent release introduced an issue causing a subset of clients to be unable to automatically upload files for processing. This in turn has caused those districts to not deliver their automated messages (such as Attendance calls). This has NOT caused issues with custom messages; custom messages are processing normally. You can check Message Tracking to see if your attendance messages have gone out today. Our team is working to resolve this issue asap; we will update you when a timeline has been determined. These files can be manually updated by dropping the desired file into the folder on the SCP site. If you have questions or need assistance in doing this, please reach out to our support team and they will help you update the files.

Message Tracking error showing Email Sent for some clients.
Our development team discovered an issue causing the Message Tracking report to show the status of 'Email Sent' for some of our clients. This means that the messages have been successfully sent out from our servers to the intended destinations. Unfortunately, we do not have the information that we would normally have from the email service providers (such as Email Delivered, Invalid Email Address, etc.). Anyone who previously received emails from you should continue to receive these messages, even if the tracking does not show the normal status. If any recipient says they did not get the email and all the information within the mass notification system is correct (email address is valid, they were selected as a recipient, etc.) please reach out to our Support team, so we can assist with investigating the individual occurrence.

Subset of emails being flagged as spam
Maintenance last week by Anthology/Blackboard unintentionally resulted in a number of our email relays/IPs being flagged as spam. This maintenance was done without our knowledge; we have put new processes in place which will avoid this situation moving forward as we continue our migration to Finalsite resources. Our team is working with these providers to resolve this situation. Unfortunately, until that time, a subset of emails sent may be bounced as spam. For any critical communications, we suggest including a second mode - such as phone calls or SMS. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

Dev Portal Down - impacting Learn stability and functionality
DevPortal is completely down. This causes calls to DevPortal to receive 504 errors for almost all callers. This prevents LTI launches and no REST API integrations for Learn. We continue to work on resolving the issue.
