Resolved Hotspot Onboarding Outage

The Dewi Onboarding server is experiencing an outage and adding Hotspots to the network is affected. This also affects Makers trying to add Hotspots to the onboarding server. This does not affect Hotspots already on the network.

Resolved Block Sync Degraded

The core developers have noticed that, as of 1:15am UTC, block sync has been degraded. We are looking into the issue. Transactions may take a long time to clear (including payments, onboarding hotspots, transferring hotspots, etc.) and hotspots may fail to perform Proof-of-Coverage activities because they are not in sync. The Consensus Group is producing blocks but they are not syncing to all network participants. Elections may not succeed as new proposed groups may not be in sync with current blocks.

Resolved API Delays and Transaction Processing Issues

The core developers are actively investigating issues with the the main API services (api.helium.io). We've identified and confirmed reports that the API is falling behind in block sync, has stale Hotspot data, and is not clearing pending transactions at a normal rate. Users of the network may see payments and other transactions submitted via the API (through the Rust CLI or Hotspot App) delayed. The blockchain itself is operating normally, Validators continue to produce blocks, and other submitted transactions (directly from Hotspots for PoC, through blockchain-node, and through Validators) continue to process normally. We will continue to investigate the root cause and provide more details as we have it.
