Hi 👋 Our engineers have determined there is a small number of users are experiencing issues saving recordings. 😖 This is caused by an authentication issue, where the user is not completely signed in during the sign in process. Resolved Google Outage Preventing Screencastify Access
There was a problem this morning with all of Google’s services: Google Mail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Sites, Groups, Meet, Forms, and Keep all experienced an outage from 5:55 am - 6:55 am CST. Users trying to sign into Screencastify or make a recording were also not able to do so, but Google services have been restored and everyone can now resume using Screencastify. Resolved Google Classroom playback Issue
Our engineers have identified a video playback issue with Google Classroom. 😖 The video screen will freeze but the audio track will play without issue. Additionally, there have been issues of the video not being able to be played back or fast forwarded within Google Classroom. We have identified it to be a Google Drive issue, and have opened a case🕵️♂️ with the Google Drive team so that they can identify the root cause and hope they are able to deploy a fix soon. We assure you, your video(s) are not lost. In the meantime, please download your videos as a workaround. Resolved Google Video processing issue.
Our engineers have identified a video playback issue. 😖 After a video has been created and uploaded to Drive, if the user wants to skip ahead or rewind the video then the screen will freeze but the audio will play normally. This will happen if the video is played within Drive or if the drive link is shared and opened. We have identified it to be a Google Drive issue, and have opened a case🕵️♂️ with the Google Drive team so that they can identify the root cause and hope they are able to deploy a fix soon. Resolved Errors with Login
We are seeing errors with users trying to log into Record, Edit, and Submit. When trying to sign in, you may see a white box (instead of the Record extension), or a "Failed to sign in. Please try again or contact support." error. We're investigating what the cause might be and will provide another update in 30 minutes.
Resolved Submit Assignments Not Uploading
Screencastify Submit Assignments are not uploading properly, causing users to be unable to submit their videos from the Submit app.
Resolved Firebase Hosting
The Firebase hosting is down causing users to be unable to access the Record extension or the Submit app.
